This work explores how an individual’s psychology deals with fear. In a visual representation, I depict a frog that musters the courage to look into the eyes of a snake only after the snake is dead. This idea is inspired by A.K. Ramanujan's poem "The Snake." In this piece, I delve into various aspects and meanings of the psychology of fear for individuals. The experience of fear is so profound that, for some people, it cannot be overcome simply by the death of the source of that fear. However, a few individuals can gather the courage to confront and overcome it.

The title of this work is C.O.P.D., which stands for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. This medical condition causes difficulty in breathing, leading to breathlessness. I first encountered this term last year when my father was hospitalized due to this illness. This work reflects the challenging situation and my emotional state during that difficult time. At times, we must confront situations where the outcome feels uncertain or where there appears to be no hope for the future.

In this artwork, I capture a lively scene titled "Fight with the clock. " It portrays a moment as dusk settles, where an individual character stands at the centre of a chaotic struggle, surrounded by others who are also clamouring for their own desires. The atmosphere is filled with tension, as each character fights for the last piece of biscuit, symbolizing their hunger and unfulfilled needs.

The fading light creates dramatic shadows, adding to the intensity of the moment. Each character's expression reveals a mix of determination, desperation, and perhaps even a touch of humour, making it challenging to discern who is truly in the right or who deserves the final piece the most. This scene serves as a poignant metaphor for human nature and the complexities of our desires, especially when the stakes are high.
